PURPOSE:To eliminate floating of cut disposal part by fixing the part to be cut of a porous metal structure body, and cutting-out said carrying-out electric discharge machining with a tool electrode, and removing the cut disposal part. CONSTITUTION:A porous metal structure body 1 such as honeycomb structure etc. is fixed on a table 5a by the screws 7 which pass through a number of holes 1c formed on said metal structure. Electricity is supplied onto the structure 1 from a terminal 5d. A tool electrode 2 is formed by applying wires 2e at equal intervals onto a frame body 2a, and electric discharge is carried-out, when said tool electrode 2 is lowered, and the part 1a to be cut-out is cut by the wire 2e, and the cut disposal part 1b is removed by the frame body 2a. Therefore, generation of short-circuit trouble and suspension of working due to floating of the cut disposal part is prevented. |
