PURPOSE:To maintain high thermal conductivity by a method wherein a foil wound coil is prevented from relaxing due to rolling back to ensure close contactness between the metal sheet and the insulating sheet. CONSTITUTION:The winding begining end part and the winding terminating end part of a metal sheet 2 which constitutes windings 4, 5 of a transformer are respectively locked by lead conductor retaining slots 17a, 17b in insulating tubes 15, 16 located at the inner and outer peripheries of the windings via lead conductors 18a, 18b attached to those end parts of the metal sheet. The inner and outer insulating tubes 15, 16 are interconnected with a ring-like insulator 19 in position to avoid a shift in relative positional relation. By so doing, it becomes possible to prevent the windings 4, 5 from relaxing due to rolling-back and ensure close contactness between the metal sheet 2 and an insulating sheet 3. As a result, thermal conductivity can be maintained high. |
