A lifting chair of the "integral shell" type, including a stand (1), a lifting-lowering mechanism and a shell (4) comprising a seat (11), a back (12) and two arm-rests (13) combined in a one-piece assembly, the lifting-lowering mechanism including two parallel and identical articulation systems disposed on the two opposite sides of the chair, each comprising two links (2, 3) of unequal lengths, each of which connects the stand (1) to the shell (4) in such a way that each system forms a deformable quadrilateral, the two shorter links (2) having their articulation axis (16) on the stand (1) located higher than the articulation axis (21) on the stand (1) of the two longer links (3), whilst a motorised extending device (23 to 25) is articulated, on the one hand, on the stand (1) about a transverse axis (26), and, on the other hand, on the shell (4) about an axis parallel to the articulation axis on said shell of the shorter links (2), characterised in that the articulation axis (16) on the stand (1) of the two shorter links (2) is furthermore disposed at the rear of the articulation axis (21) on the stand (1) of the two longer links (3), and in that the articulation axis (20) between the motorised extending device (23 to 25) and the shell (4) moreover merges with the articulation axis of the shorter links (2) on said shell (4).</p> |
