PURPOSE:To improve the mass productivity of magnetic heads, by inserting and fixing a core block into the groove of a core supporter block and then cutting the core supporter block. CONSTITUTION:The core inserting grooves 4A and 4B and a shielding plate inserting groove 4C are formed to a core supporter block 3A made of a nonmagnetic metallic material in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the block 3A. The plate type core blocks 1A and 1B and a shielding block 2A are inserted into the grooves 4A, 4B and 4C and fixed there with an adhesive. Then the block 3A holding the blocks 1A, 1B and 2A are cut off in a prescribed thickness along the longer side of the block 3A. Thus plural core units 10A are obtained. A slab member 5 of a nonmagnetic material is adhered to a side of the cut faces of the unit 10A. The unit 10A is already fixed to and held by the supporter 3A and hardly broken. |
