摘要 <p>The closed circuit consists of a solar heating panel (1), a cold, fluid reservoir (2) and a vapour pressure pump comprising two vessels (3,4). The components are interconnected so that fluid can flow from the lower vessel (3) through the reservoir to the upper vessel (4) and from the latter through the solar panel (1) to the lower vessel. A pressure balance pipe incorporates a remotely operated valve (5) connecting the tops of both vessels and operated from level controls in the lower vessel. A membrane accumulator (11) is connected into the upper vessel through a float valve (16,17). During initial cold charging of the circuit at atmospheric pressure, the upper vessel and accumulator are completely filled so that during subsequent heating of the fluid the membrane accumulator is pressurised and maintains the circuit above saturation pressure and thus preventing any air ingress.</p>
