PURPOSE:To automatically exchange both tools on a vertical main shaft and a horizontal main shaft by providing a tool magazine and an exchange arm rotating in the horizontal and vertical directions on the side of one column of a gantry milling machine provided with the vertical main shaft and horizontal main shaft. CONSTITUTION:Columns 102 are provided on both sides of the bed 101 of a gantry milling machine, and a main shaft box 105 is provided horizontally and vertically movably on a cross rail 104 and a vertical main shaft 106 is provided below it. In addition, an attachment 109 can be fitted to the main shaft box 105 through a dividing rotary head 107, and machining can be also perfomed with a horizontal main shaft 108. A tool magazine 110 and a tool exchanging device 1 are provided on the side of one column, and the exchange arm 6 of the tool exchanging device 1 is rotatable around a vertical axis and is also rotatable around a horizontal axis, thereby tools on both the vertical and horizontal main shafts can be exchanged. |
