PURPOSE:To correct the shape of a steel strip easily and surely by placing ejectors, which are freely movable in the breadthwise direction of the steel strip, right above gas wiping nozzles for regulating the coating weight of zinc so as to face the edge parts on both surfaces of the strip and sucking the steel strip. CONSTITUTION:Gas wiping nozzles 3 for regulation of the coating weight of zinc are installed so as to face both surfaces of a steel strip S rising from a zinc pot, and ejectors 4 are installed freely movably in the breadthwise direction of the strip S so as to face the edge parts on both surfaces of the strip S right above the nozzles 3 with respect to the advancing direction of the strip S. When the strip S curves like, for example, a solid line in using such device, the ejectors 4 provided on the side where the strip S deforms to a projecting shape are operated to suck the edge parts of the strip S so as to deform the strip S to the shape of a broken line. Thus, the shape of the strip S is corrected easily and surely without damaging the plated surfaces of the strip S, and the shape of the strip S in the rising part is stabilized. |
