PURPOSE:To permit the baking of a coating layer by a fluoroplastic dispersion without deteriorating a rubber layer by coating the fluoroplastic dispersion onto the rubber layer and predrying the coating, then bringing the coated surface into pressurized contact with a heating body heated to the temp. above the m.p. of the fluoroplastic, and rolling and heating the surface of the heating body. CONSTITUTION:The rubber layer is formed to the outside periphery of a roller core shaft. The fluoroplastic dispersion is coated on the rubber layer and is predried; thereafter, the coated surface is brought into pressurized contact with the heating body heated to the temp. above the m.p. of the fluoroplastic, then the surface of the heating body is rolled and heated at the time of forming the fluoroplastic film on the rubber layer. A dispersion such as PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) dispersion for which the fluoroplastic having >=300 deg.C heat resisting temp. is used in addition to a PTFE dispersion are suitable for the fluoroplastic dispersion to be used. The predrying is intended to remove the moisture, surface active agent, etc., from the coated surface prior to the baking and arbitrary heating means can be adopted for said drying. |
