Locking device for adjuster screw, especially the rocker arm screw in a piston engine's valve mechanism. A compression spring device in the form of two square spring washers (9, 11) is situated between the nut (5) and the rocker arm (1). A pair of jaws (10) extends from the upper washer (9) to prevent the washer (9) from rotating. A friction washer (13) is situated between the nut (5) and the spring device (9) to lock the nut (5) after tightening. The nut (5) has an internally threaded neck (7) that extends down through the openings of the washers (9, 11, 13).<IMAGE> |
