PURPOSE:To produce a multilayered plated steel strip having good adhesive strength with simple stages which obviate the deterioration of a zinc hot dipping bath by sticking >=1 kind of molten metals other than zinc on the plating layer of the zinc plated steel strip after passing through the plating bath. CONSTITUTION:A non-plated steel strip 20 let off from a supply reel 33a passes through a zinc hot dipping cell 24. After a coating weight of zinc is controlled by the air injected from nozzles 25a, molten metals of >=1 kind among Al, Ni, Cr, Mo, Mn, Co, Mg, Cu, Sn, Ti, Va, Fe, etc. other than zinc are stuck by dissimilar metal sticking machines 26 via dipping rolls and coating rolls. In this sticking of the dissimilar metals, the zinc plating layers are required to be kept at >=200 deg.C. If necessary, the strip 20 is heated above the m. p. of zinc in a melting and alloying furnace 38, and is then cooled. The cooled steel strip is subjected to rolling reduction at about <=5% with a rolling mill 39 to smooth the plating surfaces according to need, and is coiled on a take-up reel 33b. |
