PURPOSE:To reduce noises caused by a Barkhausen jump, by providing a nonmagnetic thin film between metallic ferromagnetic thin films. CONSTITUTION:A metallic ferromagnetic thin film 2 (''Permalloy '') having uniaxial magnetic anisotropy is formed with a double-layer structure. A nonmagnetic layer 7 (Ti, Mn) which has an electric conductivity approximately equal to the film 2 and 10-50Angstrom thickness is provided at the middle of the film 2. The magnetic walls of metallic ferromagnetic thin films 2 and 2' are stabilized by the mutual magnetizing function of these films. As a result, Barkhausen jump is suppressed to reduce the occurrence of noise. |
