PURPOSE:To widen a visual angle and to eliminate change in colors by forming renticular lenses on one surface of a medium, and reflecting part of the parallel light incident to the medium from the opposite surface thereof totally in the skirt parts of the renticular lenses. CONSTITUTION:Renticular lenses 2 of a semicircular round or non-round shape are provided on one surface of a transparent medium 1 which is glass or the like. Reflection layers 4 and light adsorbing layers 5 of a dark color are formed on the skirt parts, whereby a transmission type screen is obtained. The incident parallel light used enters the medium 1 from the opposite surface 3 thereof. The surface 3 is segmented to areas X, Y, which area X is an effective surface, and permits the transmission of the incident parallel light as it is. The parallel light incident to the area Y in the skirt parts of the surface 3 is refracted by the layers 4 like arrows, is totally reflected by the surface 3 and transmits mostly through the lenses. Since the light absorbing layers 5 are provided so as to cover the layers 4, the change in colors in right and left directions is eliminated and the transmission screen having a wide visual angle and good contrast is obtained. |
