<p>PURPOSE:To improve deodorizing performance for sulfur-contg. compds. markedly by usuing amorphous metallic materials which are deposited with alkalis as deodorizers. CONSTITUTION:Metals such as iron, manganese, or nickel are dissolved in acid solns. of sulfuric acids, nitric acids, hydrochloric acids, etc. to form metallic ions. Said metallic ions are flocculated as metallic hydroxides under the assistance of some high polymer flocculating agents while the pH is controlled with an alkali soln. of sodium hydroxide, slaked lime, etc. The flocs are separated by settling, floating or filtering, and are further dehydrated to the handling dryness. In succession, the dehydrated flocs are molded to granules or pellets of suitable sizes which are finaly dried. The dried granules or pellets are dipped into the alkali soln. and are dried again, and the resultant granules or pellets are used as deodorizers for the purpose of removing malodors such as sulfur-contg. compds., amine compds., and the like.</p> |
