PURPOSE:To permit a compact arrangement of a cooling water pipe by a method wherein suction ports are arranged alternately in the direction of a crank shaft so that the axial lines thereof are not intersecting each other when they are seen from the upper part thereof, in the V-type water-cooled multi-cylinder internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The suction ports 28 and water discharging ports P1-P4, communicating with the water jackets of each cylinders 101, 102, are opened respectively on the opposing side surfaces of two sets of engine blocks arranged in an orthogonal direction of the axial line of the crank shaft for the V-type water-cooled multi-cylinder internal-combustion engine so as to be inclined into a V-shape each other. In this case, each suction ports 28 are arranged in zig zag in the direction of the crank shaft 4 so that the central axial lines thereof are not intersecting when they are seen from the upper part of a V-shaped space C.
