PURPOSE:To discharge remaining vapor upon starting of a pump and ensure the starting property of the pump by a method wherein a priming valve, returning the vapor of the fuel into a fuel tank, is provided at the downstream of a non- return valve for the fuel pump. CONSTITUTION:The fuel pump 14 is provided with the non-return valve 16, maintaining a remaining pressure upon stopping the fuel pump, and a silencer 18, absorbing a pulsation generated by the fuel pump and having a soundproofing function, at the discharging side thereof. A return pipe 32, communicating a fuel path 30 between the discharging side of the fuel pump 14 and the non- return valve 16 with the fuel tank 10 through a minute opening, is provided while the return pipe 32 is provided with the priming valve 34, opened when a gaseous body is discharged from the fuel pump 14 and the discharging pressure thereof is low. The vapor of the fuel is returned into the fuel tank 10 by the priming valve 34 and thereby facilitating the re-starting of the pump. |
