IDLING CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN ENGINE

PURPOSE:To save power and suppress fuel consumption in an arrangement where the idling speed is increased during operation of the compressor for a car cooler by disengaging the speed increase operation while the engine speed is over a certain specified value. CONSTITUTION:A pulsed output generated on the basis of On/off repetition with a contact point 4 during a car being in service is put into a comparator circuit 30 by obtaining an output voltage E proportional to the number of revolutions of the engine by means of passing through a frequency voltage converter circuit 5. The comparator circuit 30 now compares the abovementioned voltage E with the set voltage E1 using a operational amplifier 31, where the output of this operational amplifier 31 will become 'L' for E>E1 and the transistor 37 in the output circuit 36 is put off. Accordingly the contact 41 of relay 42 is put off to stop the idling speed increase device 44 in connection parallelly with a magnet clutch 43 to drive the compressor. Thus speed increase operation of the engine is released.
