PURPOSE:To shorten the time to extinguish flames and to decrease generation of offensive smell and CO, when flames are extinguished in a combustion apparatus, by providing a fan to feed air when the flames are put out, to a vaporizer body which is equipped with an electric heater inside of the body. CONSTITUTION:A pump 9, a solenoid-operated open/close valve 22, and a fan 23 are deenergized at the time when flames are put out. By cutting off electricity, the solenoid-operted open/close valve 22 turns to a closed condition, at the same time, feed of liquid fuel into a vaporizer body 1 is stopped, and the air is fed into a vaporizing chamber 4 through a conduit 21 and a holder tube 7 for 5-10sec by the inertia turning of a fan 23. The residual, vaporized gas in a vaporized chamber 4 is pushed out into a gap between an inner and an outer burner cylinders 11 and 17 through the small port 6 of a pressure equalizer plate 5 by the air. With such an arrangement, almost instantaneous extinction is avoided for flames, generation of offensive smell and CO can largely be decreased. Safety is assured in case of emergency such as earthquake and turnover of a combustion apparatus, besides operationability and comfortability can be increased, as well. |
