PURPOSE:To stabilize the conditions of a blast furnace and to operate the furnace at low fuel ratios by detecting the deviations of material flow in the circumferential direction in the furnace from the analyzed values of the components of the top waste gas in the circumferential direction and regulating the deviations adequately. CONSTITUTION:The top waste gases of a blast furnace 1 are sampled #1-#4 from 4 positions in the circumferential direction with four up-takes 3, and the samples are fed to a gas analyzer 2. The overall waste gas from a discharge pipe 4 for the top waste gas is fed through a dust catcher 4 and a Venturi scrubber 6 and part thereof is fed to the analyzer 2. From the analyzed values of the waste gases, the ratios of iron ore and coke as material flow in the respective positions in the circumferential directions are determined quantitatively and in accordance with the deviations of said values, the hopper of the raw material bunker in the blast furnace top is modified so as to obtain a constant and smaller ratio of the iron ore and coke as a whole, whereby the blast furnace is operated stably at low fuel ratios. |
