PURPOSE:To exercise synchronizing control over plural motors for a copying machine through a simple constitution, by generating serial pulses for the synchronizing control, with an array having light emitting elements and photodetecting elements positioned in the range, of which length is shorter than the optical pattern interval of a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:Arrays A and B having light emitting and photodetecting elements of a pulse generator PSG are provided in the range of which length L is shorter than the interval between optical patterns 14a and 14b of a photosensitive drum 1 formed with gaps, and through those arrays A and B, serial pulses which conrrespond to the rotational speed of the photosensitive drum are generated to control optical system driving motors, etc. Therefore, the pulse generator of a simple constitution which is easily equipped during the replacement of the photosensitive drum performs synchronizing control over the plural driving motors of the copying machine. |
