PURPOSE:To increase the joining parts of divided constructions and to reduce manufacturing costs by cutting prescribed unit steel blocks out from large sized combined steel materials and joining the blocks by welding. CONSTITUTION:After a frame body 8 is formed of steel plates, molten metals 9, 10 are coated with slag, and while the metals are electrically heated with a carbon electrode or consumable electrode, they are filled in the body 8. Members (d) segment the packing of the molten metals 9, 10 to small sections and are bound by welding and joining (e). Unit steel blocks 2, 3, 4 are cut out from the solidified combined steel material 7 of a large size by gaseous cutting. Since the generation of defects in the core parts of the unit blocks 2, 3, 4, is prevented by the above-mentioned method, the joined surfaces are good. Since the blocks can be joined by an electroslag welding method, the strength to the tensile strength in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the joined surfaces is improved. |
