PURPOSE:To improve the igniting property of a piezoelectric igniting device by grounding a positive side spark discharge electrode of plate shape and forming the discharge surface of a negative side spark discharge electrode in a circular- arc shape, thereby enhancing the discharging energy. CONSTITUTION:A pair of piezoelectric elements 1 in which electrode surfaces of silver baking are respectively formed on both end surfaces and are polarized are contained in an insulating case 3 having a terminal board 2 in such a manner that the negative side electrode surfaces are disposed oppositely and the positive side electrode surfaces are disposed at the outer ends. A pressing element 4 and a stator 5 are arranged via buffers 6 made of soft metal thin plate on the positive side electrode surfaces of the elements 1, and a trigger 8 urged by a heat storage spring 9 is provided at the element 5. A positive side discharge electrode 11 of plate shape is provided integrally with a metal case 7 for fixing the stator 5, while a negative side discharge electrode 12 of circular-arc- shaped discharge surface connected to the board 2 is provided through a spark gap G oppositely to the electrode 11. |
