摘要 An electrostatic loudspeaker of high functional reliability. The outside electrodes are formed by two rows of (round) metal tubes behind one another and offset. By alternately guiding the diaphragm of a metallised plastic foil around the electrodes, a meander-shaped diaphragm is formed (see Figures 3 and 4). This undulating shape results in high dimensional stability and thus no mechanical tension is necessary and no material fatigue can occur. A plastic thread is guided as insulating spacer in a spiral form around the electrodes (see Figure 5). Due to the dimensional stability and the spacer, a short circuit between the diaphragm and the electrodes is prevented. The diaphragm adheres to the spacers in a type of self-holding. Through the meander shape, at least three times as large an active diaphragm is obtained compared with the loudspeaker width. Compared with conventional electrostatic loudspeakers, the basically free shaping of the rows of tubes provides for a wider radiation pattern. Coupling members within the rows of tubes enable a number of loudspeakers to be simply plugged together to form one sound column (see Figure 9). <IMAGE>
