PURPOSE:To easily cut an original in matching with the width of a transmitted original after the reception and recording, by putting a mark on a reception paper at a location corresponding to the width of the original, if the width of original at the transmission side is narrower than that of the reception paper. CONSTITUTION:After an original is read broadwise with a scanner 1, a video processor unit VPU 2 converts the signal into a binary signal and stores it in a line memory. Picture information D1 outputted from the line memory is given to a coder 4 through an OR gate 3, and after data is compressed, the data is modulated with a communication control unit and transmitted to a line. On the other hand, a synchronising signal S outputted from the VPU 2 at each reading of one line of the width of an original, is given to a paper width information control section 6. The control section 6 outputs paper width mark position information D2 at a location corresponding to the reading width of the original based on the signal S. This information D2 is transmitted as a part of the information D1 through a gate 3. Thus, at the reception side, if the width of reception paper is wider than that of the original, a mark is putted on the reception paper at a location with the effective reading width. |
