The dobby serves for high-speed weaving machines for the production of fabrics with an open, half-open or closed shed. The heald frame is actuated from a periodically rotating main shaft (1) by gearwheels (13, 15) and a linkage. For the additional displacement of the heald frame, there is provided a reversing shaft (22) which is arranged parallel to the main shaft (1) and which is provided with a radial groove (23) for an additional slide (24). The slide (24) is connected by means of a linkage (7, 25) to the hooks (9, 10) and, furthermore, via gearwheels (31, 13, 15) to the heald frame. The slides (3, 24) are accommodated in the grooves (14, 32) of the main shaft (1) and of the reversing shaft (22) and are connected to the program device by means of a common lever rocker. A means for the continuous regulation of the angle of rotation of the reversing shaft (22) is provided in the dobby. <IMAGE>
