The safety hook for trapezoid harnesses in windsurfing boards, sailing boats and the like consists of a clevis which has two fastening points on one side at a mutual distance apart on a hook plate and is designed as a closed profile piece connecting the two fastening points. In its projection onto the plane of the hook plate, the clevis can be designed as an isosceles triangle or an equal-sided U-profile with straight U-legs or U-legs bent towards one another.
