PURPOSE:To control a picture signal reproducing circuit so as to perform simultaneous monitoring, by reproducing picture signals read from tracks of a magnetic tape with a video head which is not driven for recording out of a group of video heads. CONSTITUTION:Four pieces of video heads 106a, 106b, 106c, and 106d are distributed on a rotary cylinder 102 of a rotary head drum with a 90 deg. phase difference. Each head 106a-106d has an azimuth which is opposite to each other. When the video head 106a starts recording and another video head 106d completes recording, the video head 106b performs simultaneous monitoring. The video heads 106a-106d are connectd to inputs of regenerative amplifiers 404a- 404d through a rotary transformer 400 and an input/output transformer 402, respectively. |
