SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises means 6, 12 for disposing an evaporator 2 and a condenser 8 at upper or lower side or right or left side in a housing 1 to be installed in a building so that the one surfaces of the evaporator 2 and the condenser 8 are directed toward an indoor and the other surfaces are directed toward an outdoor, partitioning the evaporator side and the condenser side of the housing, respectively providing blowers 3, 9 in partitions 1A, 1B and opening or closing the partitions to an indoor side or outdoor side or the indoor side and the outdoor side. |
