PURPOSE:To prevent moisture from gathering as drops on the outside surface of the casing of the evaporator of a refrigeration cycle and wetting the floor, by making the casing of an integrally molded resin body provided with hardened layers on the inside and outside and a heat insulation layer between the hardened layers and provided with drain flutes on the bottom of the inside. CONSTITUTION:When a refrigeration cycle is put in operation, the temperature of an evaporator 1 falls and the quantity of steam which can be present in the air in the evaporator decreases so that the steam gathers as drops on the surface and go down from the lower end of the evaporator to the bottom 2a of its casing. The water on the bottom 2a flows in drain flutes 2b integrally molded on the casing 2 and is discharged through a drain port. Since the casing 2 is a heat insulation body having internal air bubbles, the low temperature on its inside surface 2a is not transmitted to its outside surface 2d. For that reason, no moisture gathers as drops on the outside surface 2d. |
