The moisture-absorbent trough structure comprises a number of laminated layer (16-21). The outermost layer (21), towards the packed products, contains a large number of holes of dia. between 5 and 200 microns, the rest of its surface being impermeable to liq. - The external surface is coloured so as to conceal any trace of absorbed moisture or liq. such as meat juice, and is pref. formed by a plastics coating extruded onto absorbent peper.(2) |
