The sailboard consists of two flat floats (1,2) and one or more masts with sails. The floats are joined by a connecting bar (4) at right angles to their lengthwise axes, and about which one or both of them pivot. Each float can be secured by a rigid plate (5,6) on its top surface to the bar, this plate also acting as the mast mounting- or alternatively the mast can be mounted in a base on the bar itself. There can be bearings in the structure rotating on the bar, with collars bearing against the bearing end faces. The plates can be secured to the floats by ropes, belts or suction cups.
|
