<p>PURPOSE:To effectively inhibit the occurrence of development fog while almost preventing an inhibition in color development and a reduction in sensitivity by developing a color photographic sensitive material in the presence of a mercaptotetrazole deriv. CONSTITUTION:A mercaptotetrazole deriv. represented by formulaI(where M is H, an alkali metal, NH4 or an alkali-cleavable protective group for the mercapto group such as -CH2-CH2-CN, and each of R and R' is H or 1-3C alkyl), e.g., the deriv. of formula II is used. To a photosensitive material is added said compound by about 10<-7>-10<-2>mol per 1mol Ag, and the resulting color photographic sensitive material is developed with an alkaline aqueous soln. contg. a color developing agent as a color developing soln. at about 18- 50 deg.C for about 10sec-12min. Said compound may be added to the color developing soln. preferably in an amount of about 10<-6>-10<-1>mol/l.</p> |
