A const. press. printing mechanism for hand labeler comprises a driving member (A) with the pointed end(23a) of a projecting member(22) & a press. receiving member(B) with the engaging recess(28) of a press. receiving block(26). When a hand lever(12) is squeezed, the pointed end moves over to & is abruptly caused to fall into the engaging recess(28). In the above operation, a printing head(14) is actuated and the type faces(15) of the printing head are separated without delay, for preventing the label to be double-printed, from the surface of the label(35) by the resilient force of the resilient member(25).
