PURPOSE:To improve washing effectiveness of window surfaces of a vehicle by providing thin cylinder-shaped washing brushes rotatable in an approximately vertical direction on the window surface pivoted to a holding frame which is free of movement toward the window frame of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Outer frames 2, 2 of an washer are installed on the ground on both sides outside a construction gauge of a vehicle 1 on a track. Longitudinal roller brushes 3 for washing the sides of the vehicle are provided on the front sections of the outer frames 2, 2 relative to the running direction of the vehicle so as to rotate in a horizontal direction on the sides of the vehicle free of rubbing. A holding frame 5 which is free of movement toward the window frame 4 of the vehicle 1 is provided on the rear of the roller brushes 3, and multiple washing brushes 6 rotatable in a vertical direction of the holding frame 5 are pivoted to the holding frame 5. By movements of the holding frame 5 back and forth, the washing brushes 6 are kept rubbing the window surfaces and the window frames 4 when in use, and are retracted outside the construction gauge of the vehicle when not in use. |
