This vehicle has two chain transmissions for the laying of bridges. Each chain transmission is equipped with drivers which run in receptacles on the bridge. So that the run-in is ensured despite a lengthening of the chains during the laying operation, each chain transmission is made independently controllable so that either chain can be slackened during the laying operation.
