PURPOSE:To perform roll exchanging operation quickly and easily by making a lower roll out of a pair of upper and lower rolls drawable, and stacking the upper roll thereon via the projecting parts provided on roll chocks. CONSTITUTION:When lifting is released and a roll descends by gravity upon stopping of rolling operation, an upper roll 4 is placed on supporting members 21 in brackets 20 and a lower roll 5 is placed on guide rails (not shown). Then, a spacer 17 is mounted in the engaging groove 18 of lower roll chock 11A on the operation side and the mounting groove 19 of the upper roll chock 10A, the lower roll chock 11 is then drawn out in an arrow direction. The spacer 17 functions as a traction member, and the upper roll chock 10 drawn out in the same direction descends as the bracket 20 passes the slope of the member 21, and is drawn out together with the lower roll chock 11 in the form that the former is placed on the latter by means of the spacer 17 and projecting parts 15, 16. |
