PURPOSE:To detect generation of jam of recording paper, by counting the number of steps of a motor for carrying the recording paper, operating a one-turn clutch means at every number of steps prescribed in advance, and monitoring a state of a sensor in accordance with the number of operations of said clutch. CONSTITUTION:Roll-like recording paper 1 is carried intermittently in the direction of a stylus 4 by a paper carrying step-motor 3 in accordance with picture information, length corresponding to fixing width of once is sent to a magnetic roller 9, is developed and is fixed by a flash lamp 11. The number of steps of this step-motor 3 is counted by a counting means, a cam mounting shaft 7' of the one-turn clutch is operated at every number of steps set in advance, and the number of times of operation of this operating shaft 7' is counted by the counting means. In this way, generation of jam is detected by monitoring the state of sensors PS-3, PS-6 for detecting the jam of the recording paper in accordance with a count value of the counting means. |
