NEW MATERIAL:A cyclohexadiene derivative shown by the formulaI[X is C= O, C(OR1)(OR2)(R1 and R2 are 1-4C alkyl]. EXAMPLE:2,6-Dimethoxy-4-methylidene-2,5-cyclohexadienone. USE:An intermediate for synthesizing drugs, agricultural chemicals, etc. PROCESS:A novel compound shown by the formula II (e.g., 2,4,6-trimethoxy-4- methyl-2,5-cyclohexadienone, etc.) is treated in the presence of an acidic catalyst (e.g., sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.) in a solvent such as methylene chloride, chloroform, etc., to give a compound shown by the formulaI. The reaction temperature is 0-100 deg.C. The raw material compound shown by the formula II is obtained by electrolyzing the compound shown by the formula III or IV. |
