PURPOSE:To measure a luminescence life of sample in a short time, by providing a phototube detecting luminescence time of pulse beam and a phototube producing the plural pulses by receiving light generated from the sample received the pulse beam. CONSTITUTION:A pulse beam P from a pulse laser 1 is received by the second photomultiplier 3 and a starting switch 1 is closed and the charge by the 1st- 8th capacitors C1-C8 is started. The beam P is irradiated to a sample 4 and fluorescence generated from the sample 4 is received by the first photomultiplier 2. Then, eight photoelectric pulses PP are generatrd in time serires and the charge of the capacitor is stopped by opening switches S1-S8 successively. Hereby, each time from the luminescence of the laser 1 up to the generation of eight photolectric pulses is measured. A histogram obtained by adding and storing by repetition of luminescence many times thereafter is used as a fundamental data of a luminescence life. |
