PURPOSE:To reduce the self-discharge rate and the inner resistance of a silver oxide (II) cell, by employing a highly stable silver oxide (II) and a positive polarity agent containing a carbon substance, metal powder or alloy powder as the conductive substance. CONSTITUTION:A silver oxide (II) containing Cd and Te, or Cd, Te and more than one of Pb, Hg, Tl, Ge, Y, Sn, W, La, rare erth elements, Zinc, Se, Al is quite stable in the alkaly electrolyte. A silver oxide (II) cell assembled while employing said highly stable silver oxide (II) and a positive polarity agent composed of more than one of carbon substance, metal powder or alloy powder as the conductive substance has quite low self-discharge rate and the inner resistance. |
