A mobile holder for a powered hand drill which has a clamping ring (2) for the neck of the powered drill is to be designed in such a way that it is especially suitable for carrying out arduous or extensive drilling work on walls, ceilings, etc. For this purpose, provision is made according to the invention for the clamping ring (2) to be detachably fastened to a butt (4) which is directed parallel to its axis and can be supported on the body of the user. The rear body-contact piece (6) of the butt (4) is at the same time designed as a handle. Such a holder for a powered drill offers the great advantage that its butt can be placed against the shoulder or the hip of the user and a considerable pressure can be applied from the rear with the entire body or with one hand, which considerably facilitates the work especially in hard materials, for instance when drilling plug holes in precast concrete garages. <IMAGE>
