PURPOSE:To improve wearing qualities of a separator and the assembly efficiency of a battery by pressing for dehydration and drying a wet paper containing specified amount of water which is manufactured from the mixture of specified fine inorganic powder and natural plup and synthetic pulp. CONSTITUTION:More than 20wt% fine inorganic powder having more than 100m<2>/g specific surface area and one ore more kinds of natural pulp, synthetic pulp, synthetic fiber, and inorganic fiber are mixed and manufactured for wet paper contaning more than 50wt% moisture. This wet paper is pressed for dehydration and dried to obtain dry paper having a density of 0.4-0.6g/cm<2>. Anhydrous or hydrous silicic acid is preferable for the fine inorganic powder. |
