PURPOSE:To contrive to make compact a throttle position holding device and reduce the fitting space thereof by a method wherein a damping member capable of coming into elastic contact with a flange part for winding a throttle wire is provided at a throttle grip which is integral with the flange part. CONSTITUTION:In a throttle grip comprising a grip rubber fitted over the outside peripheral surface of a cylindrical body which is rotatably fitted on an end of a handle lever, one end of the cylindrical body is in the form of the flange part 14 for winding up the throttle wire 36. The grip is provided with a knocking mechanism 40 for holding the throttle position. The mechanism 40 is provided with a leaf spring 41 as a damping member faced to the outside peripheral surface of the flange part 14 and is so cnstructed that the leaf spring 41 is pressed against the outside peripheral surface of the flange part 14 when a knocker 46 is depressed by the thumb of the hand on the grip. The mechanism 40 also has a slider 48 cooperating with the knocker 40 so that the leaf spring 41 is brought into and released from the elastic contact by repeated operation of the knocker 46. |
