PURPOSE:To simplify operation procedures, by detecting kinds of bank notes from an insertion entrance by a detecting means to register the amount of money on a basis of the detection result detected by this detecting means and classifying automatically bank notes to store them. CONSTITUTION:An ECR main body 1 is provided with a keyboard 2 for overall operations, a display part 3 for displaying the amount claimed, the amount of received money, or the like, a cash storage box 4, and an insertion entrance 6 where a bank note 7 is inserted. An operation control part 8 for storage, operation, etc. is provided in the upper part of th ECR body 1, and guide plates 10a- 10d and feed rollers 9a-9d which guide the bank note 7 from the insertion entrance 6 to the storage box 4 are provided in the lower part. The kind of the inserted bank note 7 is detected by switches 11a-11d for detecting bank notes, and the amount of money is registered in a registering part on a basis of detection results, and thus, bank notes are automaticaly classified and are stored in the storage box 4, thereby simplifying operation procedures of the ECR. |
