<p>The object of the invention is to reduce the rugosity without increasing simultaneously the undulation and hence the cutting force; and the invention aims at an implementing method which comprises the division of the profile of the cutting edge in at least two portions: one portion having a radius of a high value which may vary up to the infinite (1) and - a straight portion, substantially straight or radiated (2). The invention is applicable to the making of new cutting plates or other new cutting materials, as well as to the modification of cutting plates and materials already existing and used in turning and boring.</p> |
