The invention relates to an ignition circuit for a fluorescent lamp using an electronic starter device. The ignition circuit comprises a rectifying bridge (RB), and a monostable circuit (NE) controlling a relay (RL), one contact (rl) of which opens the preheating circuit after the time defined by the monostable circuit. By calibrating the supply of the monostable circuit (NE) in such a way that it has a residual ripple, a synchronised triggering is obtained and the opening of the contact (rl) takes place at the opportune instant in relation to the alternating supply (AC). The invention applies in all devices for illumination using a fluorescent lamp. <IMAGE>
