1522251 Electronic timepieces DAINI SEIKOSHA KK 13 Oct 1976 [20 Oct 1975] 42536/76 Heading G3T In an electronic timepiece a crystal controlled oscillator circuit 1 Fig. 2 is connected in series with a switching circuit 6 across the power supply battery, the circuit 6 being controlled by a manual switch 9. Thereby the oscillator can be switched off during storage or when resetting the timepiece to zero; also maloperation resulting from high contact resistance of switch 9 is minimized. As shown Fig. 3 the oscillator circuit comprises transistors 11, 12 and the switching circuit comprises a transistor 10 and a resistor 15, e.g. 10M#. When switch 9 is open the transistor 10 conducts and the oscillator circuit is active and vice-versa. When the oscillator is OFF the current consumption of the oscillator and divider is substantially zero since the divider receives no timing signal from the oscillator. |
