The title films, useful in food packaging, comprises a 1st layer 7-25 thick of an ionomer, an olefin homopolymer, an olefin copolymer, or a mixt. thereof; a 2nd layer 0.2-3μ thick of an ethylene copolymer with a m.p. 5-30oC lower than that of the ionomer; a 3rd layer 5-15μ thick of a vinylidene chloride copolymer; a 4th layer 0.2-3.0μ thick of an ethylene copolymer with a m.p. 5-30oC lower than that of the ionomer; and a 5th layer 20-30μ thick of an ionomer, whereby the total film thickness was 35-90μ.
