A starter device (1) has an electric starter motor (3) which may be of normal type and battery-fed. The starter motor (3) is provided with a toothed pinion (11), which in a known manner can be brought into meshing engagement with a gear rim (12) by a suitable control element, normally operated by an ignition key. The gear rim (12) was normally arranged on the flywheel (4) in such a way that the internal combustion engine could be started when starting with disengaged connection to the driven wheels. In the present design this gear rim (12) is located on the clutch disc (6) so that with the clutch (5) disengaged, that is with an interrupted connection between transmission shaft (8) and drive shaft end (2), the pinion (11) of the starter motor (3) engages with the gear rim (12). At the same time the starter motor (3) is energised so that it drives the clutch disc (6) and therefore the transmission shaft (8) by way of the pinion (11) and the gear rim (12). When the connecting transmission is now shifted, for example, into first gear, the vehicle can be moved by operating the switch element without having also to turn the combustion engine. <IMAGE> |
