PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a maintenance program at the site-side computer, by accessing respective log-out file devices of the site-side computer and a maintenance support center by following the same procedure in a remote maintenance support system. CONSTITUTION:A site-side computer 100 is equipped with a central controller 1, a console controller 2, and a floppy-disk device 3 as a log-out file device, and the controller 2 controls the device 3 and a public communication line 7 under program control. A maintenance support center 101 is equipped with a console controller 2' having the same functions with the controller 2 and a floppy-disk device 3' as a logout file device as minimum elements. The controllers 2 and 2' have the same functions regarding channel control, data transfer control and communication line control, and consequently the site-side computer accesses the maintenance support center through the public communication line 7 by following the same procedure. |
