PURPOSE:To improve a power-factor at the power supply side at the time of the driving and regenerative braking of the DC separately excited motor by controlling the speed of the motor through not only the phase control of a thyristor bridge but also the operation of a forced commutation circuit. CONSTITUTION:When forward cnversion operation, the thyristor bridge is worked as a forward converter, gate signals are transmitted to thyristors T2, T3, T6, the gate signals of thyristors T1, T4, T5 are stopped and the forced communtation circuit is synchronized with an AC power supply and switched. When operation shifts to inverse conversion operation from forward conversion operation, the thyristor bridge is worked as a power inverter, the forced commutation circuit is controlled and energy is regenerated to the power supply. When inverese conversion operation, the thyristors are worked as power inverters, gate signals are forwarded to the thyristors T1, T4, T5, the gate signals of the thyristors T2, T3, T6 are stopped, and the forced commutation circuit is synchronized with the AC power supply and switched. When operation shifts to forward conversion operation from inverse conversion operation, the forced commutation circuit is controlled, armature currents are made zero, and the motor is moved to forward conversion operation. |
